PURPOSE: A method for recovering recyclable resources and an apparatus therefor are provided which judge materials, colors and types of the resources, separate and collect the resources, and pay compensation amounts of money corresponding to the types of the resources by reading bar codes marked on the surface of the recyclable resources. CONSTITUTION: The method for recovering recyclable resources comprises a first step (S40¯S44) of transferring the injected life discharging resources to a sorting machine, and discharging them when non-recyclable life discharging resources are injected by judging whether they can be recyclable or not; a second step (S45¯S46) of judging materials, colors and types of the resources by reading bar codes marked on the surface of recyclable cans or PET (polyethylene terephthalate) containers; a third step (S47¯ S48) of crushing the recyclable cans or PET (polyethylene terephthalate) containers sorted according to materials thereof; a fourth step (S49¯S51) of separating and collecting the crushed cans and PET containers into a plurality of carrying cases according to materials and colors of the crushed cans and PET containers; and a fifth step of calculating amounts of money corresponding to types and quantities of the injected recyclable cans and PET containers, and paying the calculated compensation amounts of money, wherein the sums of money calculated by including sums of money for the injected plurality of cans and PET containers are paid at the same time when a plurality of cans and PET containers are continuously injected.
