STRIP MANUFACTURING METHOD AND APPARATUS USING ROLL SURFACE TEMPERATURE CONTROL DEVICE IN TWIN ROLL TYPE STRIP MANUFACTURING PROCESS

PURPOSE: Strip manufacturing method and apparatus using a roll surface temperature control device in the twin roll type strip manufacturing process are provided which improve physical properties and durability of rolls and quality of steel billets by constantly controlling a surface temperature of the rolls. CONSTITUTION: In an ordinary strip manufacturing apparatus equipped with a nozzle(1) and twin rolls(2) each of which are oppositely rotated, the strip manufacturing apparatus using a roll surface temperature control device in the twin roll type strip manufacturing process comprises insulation films(7) which are covered on the outer circumference of the twin rolls(2) so as to protect heat; heating units(4) which are installed on the outer circumference of the insulation films(7) with spaced apart from each other in a certain distance so as to heat the surface of the twin rolls(2); temperature controllers(5) which are connected to the heating units(4) so as to control temperatures of the heating units(4); and non-contact type thermometers(6) which are connected to the temperature controllers(5) so as to measure a surface temperature of the twin rolls(2).
