SHADOW MASK AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A shadow mask and a method for fabricating the same are provided to prevent deformation of a shadow mask due to an external impact by improving an elongation rate and intensity of the shadow mask. CONSTITUTION: A circular mask is formed by an invar steel or an AK steel. A multitude of holes are formed on the circular mask. The circular mask having the holes is loaded in a tray. A pre-heating furnace is maintained under a temperature of 400 degrees centigrade. The loaded circular mask is inserted into the preheating furnace. A softening gas including an ammonia gas is injected into a heating furnace if the temperature of the heating furnace is 150 or more degrees centigrade. The loaded circular mask is inserted into the heating furnace if the heating furnace is maintained under the temperature of 550 degrees centigrade. A softening heat treatment for the circular mask is performed within the heating furnace. The shadow mask is formed by performing a press process.
