PURPOSE: An automatic adjuster for controlling lining clearance of a brake in a vehicle is provided to improve brake force by maintaining exact lining clearance and to simplify structure. CONSTITUTION: An automatic adjuster for controlling lining clearance of a brake comprises an adjuster extending upper portions of front and back brake shoes; linings contacting to the brake drum; a wheel cylinder; a ring unit(14) formed on a side portion of a cylinder member(16); a rotational member(22) inserted to an inner diameter unit of the cylinder member; a spiral groove(20) formed on an outer circumference of the rotational member; a ring member rotationally combined to the rotational member by having a ring unit; a screw hole(28) formed on an opening unit of the cylinder member; a steel ball(30) fixed on the screw hole by a plug screw(32); and a recessed groove(34) formed on a side portion of the ring unit.
