<p>An electric double layer capacitor comprising a positive electrode and a negative electrode, each comprising a carbonaceous material as the main component, a separator interposed between the positive and negative electrodes, and a non-aqueous electrolyte, wherein said separator comprises a sheet having a thickness of from 10 to 80 mu m and a porosity of from 50 to 85%, and a nonwoven fabric having a thickness of from 10 to 80 mu m, a maximum pore diameter of from 10 to 60 mu m and an air permeability of from 10 to 200 cm<3>/(cm<2>.sec), laminated one on the other.</p> |
