The invention relates to a process for manufacturing abrasive bodies, which consists in inserting a partition wall, consisting of a sheet metal ring with a diameter representing 1/3 of the abrasive body diameter, into a press mould, followed by pouring a mixture comprising quartz sand, ceramic or bakelite binder and wetting agent, in a weight ratio of 23 : 0.5 : 0.2, inside said ring, dosing another mixture comprising abrasive granules, ceramic or bakelite binder and wetting agent, in a weight ratio of 55 : 11 : 0.4, in the space outside the central ring, followed by moulding and removing the sheet metal ring which is pressed and further processed in a manner known per se.
