RETAINER STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retainer structure capable of preventing erroneous installation caused thereby while reducing weight in the retainer structure constituted in an engaging element of an automatic transmission. SOLUTION: This retainer structure forms a diametrically expanded part 12a by widely constituting a radial directional width of a spring retainer 12 of a position for constituting a projecting hole 12c, forms a diametrically contracted part 12b by narrowly constituting the radial directional width of the spring retainer 12 between the projecting hole 12c and an adjacent hole. It has a projection 11a on a retaining plate 11 constituted in a circumferential directional position overlapping with the diametrically expanded part 12a in an inner diameter position of the projecting hole 12c and a projection 11b on the retaining plate 11 constituted in a circumferential directional position overlapping with the diametrically contracted part 12b in a radial directional position overlapping with the inner diameter side of the diametrically expanded part 12a.
