PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger for charging a battery according to the fluctuation of a commercial power supply, and an vacuum cleaner using it. SOLUTION: This charge is provided with a battery 1 that is rechargeable, a charge power supply means 2 for charging the battery 1, a charge ON/OFF means 3 for supplying power supply of the charge power supply means 2 to the battery 1, a reverse flow preventing means 4 for the battery 1 from discharging, and a control means 8 for detecting the power supply voltage of the charging power supply means 2 for determining the 'ON/OFF' time of the charging ON/OFF means 3 according to the detection value, thus varying the ON/OFF distribution time of the power supply for charging the battery 1 according to the power supply voltage of the charging power supply. |
