PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stable operation without causing a deterioration of cell property, even in the case of operation without humidification. SOLUTION: When a fuel gas introduced via a fuel gas inlet manifold 1 and an oxidizer gas introduced via an oxidizer gas inlet manifold 4 is made to flow opposing to each other, a cooling water supplied from a cooling water inlet manifold 5 flows into a groove 8 for passing gas located at its lower part and then into the groove 8 for passing gas located at its upper part and finally flows into its central part to exhaust it from a cooling water manifold. Accordingly, the temperature of the central part is get higher than that of the vicinity of the inlet and outlet of the fuel gas and oxidizer gas. |
