OPTICAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To economically realize a large capacity transmission system where transmission speed per channel is speeded up and to simplify a maintenance operation. SOLUTION: A signal format of which the optimum dispersion value does not shift relative to fiber input power and exists near zero dispersion and of which the dispersion resistance is large, is generated and is used for data transmission. Zero dispersion is detected with simple constitution and dispersion is equalized.
