PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain good transfer by preventing a process of transferring a toner image to the recording medium at a transfer nip from being affected by the application of a fixing bias even in the case of applying the fixing bias on a fixation nip while holding the recording medium by the fixation nip and also by the transfer nip. SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with a transfer roller 14 for transferring the toner image from a photoreceptor drum 12 to the recording medium P by a transfer voltage, a transfer voltage generating means for changing a transfer voltage so as to generate the transfer voltage Vr to be applied on the transfer roller, a fixation unit 16 for fixing the toner image transferred to the recording medium P under the application of a fixing bias Vfu, a :fixing voltage generating means for applying the fixing bias on the fixation unit 16, and a control means for controlling the generation of the transfer voltage and the fixing bias. In a period when the recording medium P is held by the transfer nip and also by the fixation nip, the transfer voltage is controlled and changed so as to eliminate the influence of the fixing bias at the transfer nip (to increase to the positive side, when the transfer voltage is positive and the fixation bias is negative). |
