PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling unit and a cooling method for electronic apparatus, which is capable of cooling efficiently a semiconductor chip, etc., which is compact, has a high degree of integration and processes information at high speeds, such as arithmetic operation, control, etc. SOLUTION: This cooling unit for electronic apparatus comprises a radiation fin part, composed of a plurality of metal radiation fins and a forced cooling fan having an air intake port adjacent the radiation fin part for taking air through the radiation fins, and an air exhaust port for exhausting the taken air toward the radiation fins.
