PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically acquire calibration data by the minimum working of a worker in an RF monitor so as to calibrate the nonlinear output of a detector by the calibration data when the signal level of an RF signal is detected by using the detector. SOLUTION: A step variable attenuator 14 capable of varying and controlling an amount of attenuation by an instruction from CPU 2 in stages is provided in the front stage of a detector 18. When the calibration data Bn are stored in EEPROM 24, the calibration data Bn are automatically stored to EEPROM 24 by successively changing the amount of the attenuation of the step variable attenuator 14 in stages while the RF signal of a constant level is applied on the step variable attenuator 14.
