PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating wall in which heat insulation performance can be sustained for a long term and a method for producing a heat insulating wall at low cost such that a scrap material is not generated. SOLUTION: The heat insulating wall is made of a nonventilative material by placing a foamable resin material 3 covered with a craft paper 4 in a box 1 having inner wall applied entirely with a nonwoven fabric 2, containing the box 1 in upper and lower jigs 11, 12 fixed in upper and lower chambers 13, 14, reducing pressure in the upper and lower chambers 13, 14 upon starting foaming reaction of the foamable resin material 3 while keeping the ambient temperature of the upper and lower jigs 11, 12 at a specified level or above, reducing the pressure upon finishing the foaming reaction of the foamable resin material 3 and enclosing the opening 1a of the box 1 with a film of a nonventilative material.
