<p>A genetic construct that encodes a virus in a host's lymphoid organ or of a cell transduced with the genetic construct is used in the manufacture of a medicament for raising an immune response in the host. The virus can be a Class 4 virus or a retrovirus. The construct can also be capable of transducing the cell to express a cytokine to augment or direct the host's immune response or to express a tumour antigen. A pharmaceutical composition comprises a cell that has been transduced with a genetic construct that encodes a Class 4 virus.</p> |
