Power switches or multiple sockets 34, 44, 54 either switched 8 or unswitched are provided with insulation displacement contacts 32, 42, 52 rather than screw terminals for the supply conductors. The insulation displacement contacts permit ease and speed of connection of a plurality of wires to the outlet contacts by way of each inlet contact. Embodiments with a different type of insulation displacement contact 72, 82, 92 are disclosed.
