PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting/receiving circuit and camera and optical device, which are satisfactory in space utilization and can be manufactured at low cost. SOLUTION: This light emitting/receiving circuit 10 is provided with a light emitting diode 14 having a P-N junction, a circuit using this light emitting diode 14 as a light emitting element and a circuit using the same light emitting diode 14 as a light receiving element for measuring light intensity. It is preferable to connect a switching means 16 for switching, by at least one control signal between a light receiving state such that a photoelectromotive force is generated in a direction in which the P-N junction is biased when light is received and a light emitting state that a forward voltage is applied to the light emitting diode 14 to emit light. |
