<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding portable telephone set of a structure that is automatically open through a pushbutton operation ensuring smooth opening and contrives that fingers of a user are not in contact with a side face of a display section side case. SOLUTION: The portable telephone set has an operation key side case having operation keys, a display section side case having a display section, a hinge connecting the operation key side case and the display section side case, and cover sections 54, 55 that are projected from the operation key side case near the hinge to cover the side face of the display section side case. The cover section 54 is provided with a lock release button 56 that is pressed when the portable telephone set is open. When the user has the folded portable telephone set in hand and depresses the lock release button 56, fingers of the user are in contact with the cover sections 54, 55 but not in contact with a side face of the display section side case. Both side faces 52a, 52b of the display section side case 52 are free from the user's hand to allow the display section side case 52 to be smoothly open.</p> |
