<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a computer system for allowing a system to operate at a processing speed which is designated by a user only in a working period by the user. SOLUTION: At the start processing of an operating system, a CPU 11 is operated at the highest speed. At reception of a start completion message from the operating system, a power saving driver waits in a prescribed period necessary until the operation of a computer system by a user is available and sets the processing speed of the CPU 11 as a processing speed designated by a user. At the receiving an OS end start message indicating the start of shut-down processing from the OS, the power saving driver releases the setting of the speed designated by the user, and returns the CPU 11 to the highest speed. Therefore, even if the speed designated by the user is set at whatever value, the start processing/shut-down processing can be executed at the highest speed.</p> |
