PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To access a target repeat item at high speed concerning a data base, in which plural repeat items related to a basic item are located while being divided into plural physical records. SOLUTION: The addresses of physical records locating repeat items specified by key values and order information are registered corresponding to these key values and order information in a logical/physical correspondence table 3. When the key value and the order of repeat items are designated by an application program(AP) 4, while referring to the logical/physical correspondence table 3, a database access control means 2 finds the address of the physical record, in which the repeat item of an access request is located, the repeat item located in the physical record shown by that address is read out, and the repeat item of the access request among these items is returned to the AP 4.
