PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of surely detecting a transfer material wound around a fixing roller in simple configuration. SOLUTION: This device has a detecting means 21 for detecting a transfer material 20 provided on at least one of fixing rollers 31 and 32, an energization control means for controlling energization to a halogen lamp 33, and an operation control means 42 for controlling the operation of the energization control means on the basis of the detected result of the detecting means 21.
