PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of an enclosure for portable terminal that enhances the rigidity of the enclosure so as to attain a lower-profile portable terminal. SOLUTION: Sidewalls 26a, 26b of a rear case 12 on which a recessed part 24 is formed are formed thick. The recessed part 24 is partitioned into a battery chamber 30 and an antenna pipe chamber 32 by a longitudinal rib 28 projected in parallel with the sidewall 26b. The longitudinal rib 28 is formed in the length direction without intermission and integrated with a lateral rib 34 that demarcates the battery chamber 30.
