PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure reliability at the time of housing and discharging a paper money having a folding habit, a curl, etc., though a distance from a point of inserting and holding by a tape to a paper money end in an axial direction is long when a tape width is composed of a single central tape since mixed paper moneys of various sizes are handled. SOLUTION: This device is provided with scraper guides on both sides of a scraper and a multistage paper money guide for discharging at both sides of a carrying roller. The multistage paper money guides for discharging is inclined in the direction of an idling roller from a paper money carrying surface, and the supporting point position of an inclination angle is separated from the side of a wheel with approach to both of the outer sides from a center. Thus, it is possible to supply this paper money housing and discharging device at a low cost and of reliability which is capable of housing and discharging even a paper money in a bad condition such as a small-size paper money, a folded paper money, a paper money having a curling habit.
