PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe connecting device whereby ribbed pipes each having annular ribs provided on the outer peripheral surface thereof along the direction of the axis thereof, with a predetermined interval between the ribs, can be connected to each other through one-man operation. SOLUTION: The pipe connecting device 3 is used in interconnecting the ribbed pipes 1a, 1a each having annular ribs 11a, 11b provided on the outer peripheral surface thereof along the direction of the axis thereof, with a predetermined interval between the ribs. A semiannular leg 32 which is caught in a groove 12a formed on the outer periphery of one of the ribbed pipes 1a is freely rotatably journaled to the lower end of a handle 31 and one end of a stay 33 is journaled to the mid position of the handle. Another semiannular leg 34 which is caught in a groove 12b formed on the outer periphery of the other ribbed pipe 1b is mounted at the other end of the stay 33.
