PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the sealing device of a rotary furnace that can absorb displacement in an axial direction and a diameter direction due to the deformation and the thermal expansion of the rotary drum of the rotary furnace, is highly reliable and safe, and can seal the part between the rotary part of the rotary furnace and a still part. SOLUTION: The sealing device of a rotary furnace is provided with a rotary drum I that is in a cylindrical shape and is rotated, a housing 2 that is arranged outside the rotary drum and avows the rotary drum to penetrate, and a packing box 4 that is mounted to the housing and surrounds the peripheral surface of the rotary drum. The sealing device is also provided with a rotary sealing member 5 that is provided on the inner-periphery surface of the packing box, slides on the outer-periphery surface of the rotary drum, and allows the rotary drum to be expanded in an axial direction, and an end face sealing member 3 that is included at the mounting part of the housing of the packing box to allow the rotary drum to be expanded in a diameter direction.
