<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and appropriately obtain a connection position of a desired device in a LAN. SOLUTION: The network is provided with a retrieval side network device that is provided with a transmission control means 21, which controls transmission of a retrieval packet to retrieve a path including a repeater in the network where an IP address to be retrieved reaches an assigned object device, with the network device that is provided with a return control means 23 that receives the retrieval packet from the retrieval side network device and returns a retrieval reply packet addressed to a sender when detecting that the retrieval packet is a retrieval packet addressed to its own device, and with a relay information addition means that relays the retrieval packet and the retrieval reply packet and adds information of its own device to the retrieval reply packet when relaying the retrieval reply packet.</p> |
