PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a navigation system by which a point can be selected effectively by combining the output of a list with the narrowing-down of the list. SOLUTION: An input means 1 which is used to input retrieval information on an individual one part by one part and in series is provided. An information storage means 3 in which at least point information data regarding the individual is stored is provided. A retrieval means 2 by which, whenever retrieval information is input by the input means one part by one part and in series, the name of the individual agreeing with the input retrieval information is retrieved from the point information data stored in the information storage means is provided. A control means 4 which judges the number of agreements retrieved by the retrieval means and by which the output of the point information data is controlled on the basis of a judged result is provided.
