PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-output solid-state image pickup device where a space for providing a separation resister is assured, with no intermediate resistor nor increase in a chip area. SOLUTION: There are provided a plurality of photoelectric conversion parts, which are arranged horizontally and vertically at a prescribed pitch and generate electric charge according to incident light, a vertical transfer part which vertically transfers the electric charge as a whole column, which occurred at the photoelectric conversion part, and a horizontal transfer part which horizontally transfers the electric charge transferred from the vertical transfer part. The horizontal transfer part is divided into a plurality of blocks each comprising an output part, and the block comprises a plurality of transfer electrodes arranged on a semiconductor region via an insulating film. A drive pulse is applied sequentially to the transfer electrodes, so that the electric charge is transferred to the output part, with at least one of the transfer electrodes being provided with a longer pitch on the side contacting the vertical transfer part as compared to the pitch on the other side.
