PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contract number notice system where an optional telephone can inform an opposite party of its own contract number as a caller number through an analog channel that adopts a caller number notice service. SOLUTION: In the contract number notice system, a contract number and a password in cross-reference with each other are registered to a database 2 of an exchange 1 through an analog channel 5 adopting the caller number notice service. In the case that a special number, a contract number, a password and a destination telephone number are continuously dialed to the exchange 1 at dialing, the database 2 of the exchange 1 is retrieved to decide whether or not the contract number and the password are registered in the database 2. When the presence of registration is decided, the system uses the contract number for a caller number in place of the caller number and informs a called telephone set 4 about it.
