PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transmission system that transmits information with a small externally mounted circuit and a small number of signal lines. SOLUTION: This information transmission system for transmitting information from an information transmitter side to an information receiver side is provided with a clock signal line that is used to transmit a clock signal from the information transmitter side to the information receiver side, a data signal line that is used to transmit information from the information transmitter side to the information receiver side, an information transmission section 202A that uses one of a High signal and a Low signal for an identification ID, uses the other for numeral information corresponding to the identification ID, changes the respective widths of the High signal and the Low signal by using a clock width for a unit in response to the numeral information and transmits a plurality of combinations of the identification ID and the numeral information on the data signal line, and an information reception section 208A that measures the width of the High signal and the Low signal sent from the data signal line with the clock signal received from the clock signal line so as to respectively interpret the identification ID and the numeral information.
