<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground repeater to be used for a satellite transmission system which can be provided with plural satellites. SOLUTION: An OFDM transmitter is operated in two modes, namely, in an ordinary mode and a transmitter identifier information(TII) mode. The TII mode is provided with all functions in the ordinary mode and a repeater identification signal containing client data is transmitted while using an OFDM subcarrier (bin) in halt state. In the case of ordinary mode, the OFDM transmitter writes '0' in the non-used (halt state) subcarrier as desired and in the case of TII mode, the OFDM transmitter uses at least some of non-used (halt state) subcarriers for transmitting TII. A predetermined TII value is mapped into one set of complex symbols. According to the TII signal, a receiver tester can easily relates a received signal to the ground repeater for generating the TII signal.</p> |
