oil and gas production. SUBSTANCE: one performs geophysical exploration of wells, determines parameters of clayiness in wells and borders of clayey sectors of reservoirs. Clayiness parameters are determined in wells located on areas not connected hydrodynamically with all development objects. From clayiness fields of objects obtained, one investigates particular features of distribution of clayiness parameters on area and selects zones where distribution of clayiness parameters obeys description in terms of certain nonlinear function: g = f(x,y), wherein g is clayiness parameter and x,y coordinates. Borders of clayey sectors are determined by solution of that equation assigning clayiness parameter values. Method allows reliable determination of borders of clayey sectors with predetermined clayiness parameter values and likewise clayiness parameter values on unexplored crosswell area.
