PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk drive device which can suppress disk damage caused by impact and improves impact resistance. SOLUTION: This device has a magnetic disk 5, a spindle motor 4 that rotationally drives the disk 5, a head performing at least one between data reproduction and data recording, a head slider 15 which floats with respect to the recording surface of the disk 5 on which the head is mounted and which rotates, an elastic supporting member 11 which holds the slider 15 and has flexibility in a substantially vertical direction with respect to the recording surface, an actuator 6 that rotates the member 11 and performs moving positioning, and an impact buffering member 20 which is arranged in a contactable way with the member 11 that bends in a direction where the slider 15 is separated from the recording surface of the disk 5, regulates the bending quantity of the member 11, also absorbs kinetic energy held by the member 11 and can be moved together with the member 11.
