<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously record a plurality of programs having different transmission reference clocks digitally broadcast by a plurality of broadcast stations by, using a single recorder. SOLUTION: Clock reproducing means 12, 13 separately reproduce a reference clock multiplexed on a stream. A clock selection means 14 compares the frequencies of the reproduced reference clocks and selects a reference clock with the highest frequency. A recording signal processing means 15 applies rate conversion to a received stream and converts the stream into the reference clock selected by the clock selection means 14, multiplexes the received stream with the selected reference clock, generates a recording stream and records the resulting stream onto a recording medium 16.</p> |
