PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner and a method of forming an image having excellent developing property and durability which are key factors for a toner of a small particle size and which hardly causes contamination on the base or filming. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner is prepared by adding an additive to the mother toner consisting of at least a binder resin and a coloring agent, and the toner has 4.0 to 9.0μm weight average particle diameter Dv. As for the additive, titania having 2 to 12 aspect ratio is used, and the isolation degree of the titania is 0.5 to 8%. The ratio of Dv to the number average particle diameter Dn satisfies Dv/Dn<=1.3.
