PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the memory capacity for developing image data. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic printer is provided with a controller for preparing image data for every color component of image, and a printing processor for forming the desired image for every one page by forming a latent image on the image carrier based on image data for every color component fed from the controller and forming the visual image by performing development process, and transferring the visual image on a recording sheet by being successively superimposed/transferred on the transfer body. In the case that the image data to be subsequently fed to the printing processor are not prepared by the controlling device, the printing processor is made to wait the feed of image data in a state of suspending the process of respective image data of latent image, development and transfer process.
