PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device, a cartridge attachable to and detachable from the device and a cartridge expiration date display system with which information on the expiration date of a cartridge is reported to a user so that the use of the cartridge before the expiration date enabling forming the image of real definition is enabled as much as possible and the user can take measures required for providing the image output of high definition. SOLUTION: A storage means 20 stores the data of a reference day to set the expiration date of a cartridge B and a main body 100 of device has a means 21 for reading the date of the reference day out of the storage means 20 and means 22 for calculating the date to be the expiration date of the cartridge B while using the date of the reference day read out of the storage means 20 and the information of a usable period from the predetermined reference day and for calculating the number of days left to the user limit of the cartridge B while using the date of the reference day read out of the storage means 20, the usable period from the predetermined reference day, and the present date. |
