PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spark plug of which material of precious metal ignition part is excellent in heat resistance and oxidation and attrition resistance and yet has a good workability and that does not easily suffer from abnormal corrosion even when it is applied to leaded gasoline engine. SOLUTION: With this spark plug 100, the ignition parts 31, 32 are composed mainly of Rh as the principal component, and Rh series precios metal alloy including either one kind or more than two kinds of additional metal element components chosen from Re, Ru, Ir, W, Mo, and Os within 3 to 38% mass.
