PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distribute light so that a peripheral part may be bright in a stroboscopic device having a cylindrical light emitting tube and a reflector. SOLUTION: The cross-sectional shape of the inner surface of the reflector in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the light emitting tube satisfies following conditional expressions; 3.0<W1<5.2a, 1.2a<W2<3.5a and 2a<D<5a. Provided that W1 is the width of the cross-sectional shape at a front end, W2 is the width thereof on the center axis of the light emitting tube, D is a distance from the front end to the center axis of the light emitting tube, and (a) is a distance from the center axis of the light emitting tube to a rear end.
