PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a characteristic (a reflection coefficient) of a color material according to a model created by linearly modeling light wave propagation inside the color material. SOLUTION: This device has a light source control part 1 irradiating with white light a color material that is a measured target; a data read part 3 reading a light wave outputted from the color material; a data record part 4 recording data on the light wave read by the data read part 3; a color material information record part 2 recording color material information such as the number of the color materials; and a data analysis part 5 extracting data depending on only the color material from the data on the light wave recorded by the data record part 4 and applying inverted filter computing to a modeled color material layer to calculate a color material reflection coefficient.
