The cleaning container comprises two chambers (3A,3B) located at different levels which communicate through a fitting (5) with a channel (5A) which determines the transfer time of cleaning liquid (4) falling by gravity from one chamber to the other. One chamber has an opening (6), for the introduction and extraction of the jewelry (2), fitted with a cap (7) for hermetically sealing the container.
