PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which is excellent in maintenance, is friendly to the environment and remains high in grade for a long period while reducing the electrostatic charging unevenness corresponding to the clearances of base fabric which occurs when roll brushes are used. SOLUTION: Plural contact electrostatic charging members 2K to 2Y for electrostatically charging respective plural image carrying members 1K to 1Y of the image forming device arranged with the image carrying members along a transfer transporting member 5 are formed of the roll brushes constituted by winding the base fabrics 21 provided with fibers 24 around the arbors 20. The anglesψ(the projection angles of the winding seams 25 of the respective roll brushes to the respective image carrying members) of the unevennes on a recording material 8 which may be caused with lapse of time by the winding seams 25 of the respective roll brushes are set at plural different angles.
