PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose an installation structure of an air conditioner that can prevent the leakage of a refrigerant, and can secure the safety when the refrigerant leaks. SOLUTION: In an air conditioner where an indoor machine connection pipe 11 at the side of an indoor machine 2 is connected to an outdoor machine connection pipe 12 at the side of an outdoor machine 1 by connecting piping 13, the indoor machine connection pipe 11 is extended to the outside of a building wall 7 from the indoor side for detachably connecting an external end part 11a to an end part 13a of the connecting piping 13 by a joint 4, and at the same time a part near the connection part is fixed to the side of the building wall 7 by a fixing member 6. In this manner, even when a refrigerant leaks at the connection part between the indoor machine connection pipe 11 and the connecting piping 13, the refrigerant leaks outdoors, thus securely preventing leakage to an indoor side. Also, even when a high-pressure refrigerant such as a carbon dioxide refrigerant is used and leaks, the out-of-control of piping caused by a jet refrigerant is prevented as much as possible, thus securing high safety in the refrigerant leakage by synergism. |
