PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and a developer quantity detecting device capable of preventing the residual quantity of developer from being erroneously detected due to the distribution state of the developer in a developer container. SOLUTION: This developer quantity detecting device is provided with a 1st and a 2nd developer quantity detection means 21 and 20 for detecting the residual quantity of developer stored in the developer container 19, and a judgement means 25 for judging the distribution state of the developer in the container 19 based on the detected results of the detection means 21 and 20. Then, when the judgement means judges that the distribution of the developer in the container is not uniform, the detected result of the residual quantity of developer is not defined. |
