<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a leak in the first trimming groove of a chip resistor having the first trimming groove cut into a resistance film in a direction crossing the resistance film from one side face edge of the film, and a second trimming groove cut into the resistance film from the end of the first trimming groove. SOLUTION: In the inside section 2b of the resistance film of a chip resistor surrounded by first and second trimming grooves 5 and 6, auxiliary trimming grooves 8 and 9 are cut into the film 2 so that the grooves 8 and 9 may be communicated with the grooves 5 and 6 or the groove 5 may be communicated with one side face edge 2a of the film 2.</p> |
