<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make words which are small in the number of moras easy to hear by varying the read-aloud speed of each word in a document according to its number of moras as to a voice synthesizing device which reads aloud the document according to reading information and rhythm information. SOLUTION: This device which comprises a phoneme conversion part 1, a parameter calculation part 2, a voice synthesis part 3, and a voice waveform synthesis part 4 and reads a document aloud is equipped with a beat number detection part 11 which detects the number of beats in each word or accent phrase in the document and a phoneme pronouncing speed detection determination part 12, and the phoneme pronouncing speed determination part 12 varies the read-aloud speed of the word or accent phrase by varying the continuance obtained by a parameter calculation part 2 according to the number of moras obtained the beat number detection part 11.</p> |
