<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method an electromagnetic pump allowing a sure and accurate selection of fixed resistors for setting the delivery rate from the pump within a prescribed range. SOLUTION: The electromagnetic pump is provided with a dummy resistor of design center for the electromagnetic pump, dummy resistors of small resistance and of larger one, and a switching means for selectively connecting one of the dummy resistors to the pump. The first measurement of the delivery rate is performed by carrying a driving pulse current through the pump via the dummy resistor of design center. If the rate falls within an allowable range in comparison with a reference flow rate, the same dummy resistor is put to use. If the rate is smaller or larger than that, the second measurement is performed by selecting a dummy resistor of smaller or larger resistance, respectively. Thus, selections are made from various fixed resistors by comparing the rate with the reference flow rate. A finally selected fixed resistor is mounted on the pump, and a driving pulse current is carried through the pump to perform the third measurement of the delivery rate. This fixed resistor is employed if the rate falls within the range of the reference flow rate.</p> |
