<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately deciding the presence and the kind of an object mounting on a seat of a passenger car. SOLUTION: In this deciding method, when a seat weight (w) is less than W1, it is decided that a seat is vacant. When the seat weight (w) is not less than W1, it is decided whether an output (p) of a living body proximity sensor is less than a threshold value P1 or not. When the seat weight (w) is less than W2 in the case that the output (p) of the living body proximity sensor is less than the threshold value P1, it is decided that a child sits on the seat. When the seat weight (w) is not less than W2, it is decided that an adult sits on the seat. When the output (p) of the living body proximity sensor is not less than the threshold value P1, it is decided that a child seat is mounted.</p> |
