PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-speed and small-noise output buffer which is provided with many control functions equivalent to specifications of a GTL+ signal. SOLUTION: In the output buffer, general and speed driving elements exist together to drive the final output element. When an input signal is changed from a first logical level to a second logical level, the general and the speed driving elements simultaneously start functioning. The speed driving elements pulls down a control voltage of the output element to a potential different from the expected final potential. The general driving element pulls down it to a potential approximating the expected final potential. The output potential of the output element is first quickly changed and then is slowly changed toward the final potential. Large ring back doesn't occur in the output signal, and the delay time of the output buffer is shortened.
