PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved display screen that can be employed in manufacturing a more flat TV receiver or monitor than the existing one, without increasing risk of explosion. SOLUTION: A display screen for the picture tube of a TV receiver or monitor a front glass part 2 with a central axis 8, peripheral flange part 3, and collar. The peripheral flange part 3 includes an outside, and a peripheral welding edge at one end of the peripheral flange. The outside of the flange part includes a peripheral ring-shaped region 5 of the KC-face collar, extending substantially in parallel with the central axis. A part of the peripheral flange part between the welding edge and the surrounding ring-shaped region has a thickness greater than the ring-shaped region.
